Professor Mark Watson-Gandy is a British educationalist and barrister practising in insolvency law. Called to the Bar in 1990 at the Inner Temple, then in 2013 to the Eastern Caribbean Bar (British Virgin Islands), since 2017 Mark is also a member of the Dubai Bar Association. He served as a Junior Counsel to the Crown from 2000 till 2012. In 1999 he was appointed a Visiting Professor of the University of Westminster, where he established its Corporate Finance Law (LLM) degree course. A Special Lecturer at Cass Business School, he is a member of Three Stone Chambers. In 2010, he was counsel to the Conference of Bishops for the State Visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the United Kingdom. He also advised Gurkha veterans at the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Gurkha Welfare enquiry. Mark is Chairman of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, and has argued for legislative change to ensure parity of treatment between mental and physical first aid in the workplace.
